A suspense account is a temporary account used to record the difference when a trial balance fails to agree. This difference is recorded in the suspense account until the errors causing the imbalance are discovered and corrected. βš–οΈ

Clearing the Suspense Account πŸšͺ

When errors are discovered, the suspense account must be cleared. This is done using journal entries with one side affecting the suspense account and the other side affecting the relevant account. Once all errors are corrected, the suspense account will be closed. πŸ”’
